Youth Groups

What are the housing and dining rates?

For groups staying on-campus, a customized housing and dining package will be created based on your room type, number of lodging nights, and meal package. Rates are available with and without linen and housekeeping service.

How do resident halls separate females and males, or adults from youth groups?

When assigning youth groups to halls, we separate gender by floor or wing. In regards to adult and youth groups, we try our best to assign them to separate halls.

Are fields/meeting rooms close to dining facilities?

Meeting rooms and fields are typically within walking distance of the dining halls and residence halls.

What is the emergency number to call in case a parent needs to reach their child on campus?

Parents can call the front desk of the residence hall their child is staying in. All of our residence halls offer 24-hour front desk service.

What is the required ratio of chaperones to youth?

To help you have the most successful camp or program possible, CU requires one advisor or adult chaperone (age 19+) for every 10-15 campers.

What are the hours of the front desk?

All of our residence hall front desks are staffed 24-hours a day unless other advance arrangements are made.

What style of residence hall housing is offered? Where are bathrooms located?

A variety of housing accommodations can be arranged for your group based on their housing needs and availability. All of our residence halls contain traditional rooms (rooms with two twin beds) and community-style bathrooms. Some halls contain apartment style or suite-style accommodations with kitchens, living rooms, and bathrooms. Please contact us for availability and booking. Each residence hall room is furnished with two extra long twin beds, dressers, desks, chairs, a closet, a telephone, and a micro-fridge (with refrigerator freezer and microwave).

Is there a location for a camp store or coach meeting? Can the store sell food or beverages?

Meeting rooms are available and can be reserved in most of our residence halls for camp stores or for coach meetings. Your coordinator will arrange this for you. We do not allow the sales of food or beverages in camp or youth group stores as it violates our vendor contracts.

Can staff check-in early? Where are staff housed? Can staff get single rooms?

Youth group or camp staff can check in one day prior to the official check-in date of your program. Please denote all staff and early arrivals on your final rooming list. Single rooms are available based on the single room package rate.

Do the residence halls have telephones? How do participants call off-campus?

Telephones are provided in each residence hall room and house phones are located near the main lounge of each building. To dial room-to-room on campus, or to reach any campus office, please dial the last five digits of the appropriate phone number. Dial '8' to get an outside line. All local and long distance numbers require the area code. Denver metropolitan area is considered a local call. Calling cards are required for long distance calls.
