How many beds are available on the CU, Boulder campus?

CU has approximately 4,000 beds available in a wide range of floor plans and room styles. We offer apartment style accommodations, suite-style dormitories, and traditional residence hall rooms. The availability of each option depends on your group size and proposed dates.

What type of housing/bathroom accommodations are available at CU?

A variety of housing accommodations are available for your group based on housing needs and availability. All of CU's residence halls contain traditional rooms (rooms with two twin beds) and community-style bathrooms. Some halls contain apartment style or suite-style accommodations including kitchens, living rooms and bathrooms. Please contact us for availability and booking.

Are the residence hall rooms air-conditioned?

Most residence halls on campus do not have air-conditioning. Exceptions to that are the Williams Village Complex and the Bear Creek Apartments. Please contact us for availability.

What does residence hall room have in it?

Each residence hall room comes with the following: extra long twin bed, dresser, desk, bookcase, chair, closet, a telephone, and a micro-fridge (with refrigerator freezer and microwave). Televisions are located in the lobby or main common buildings of each complex. Vending machines and laundry facilities are located in each residence hall building. We recommend participants bring an alarm clock. Amenities vary in our Bear Creek Apartment units.

Do the residence halls have telephones? How do participants call off-campus?

Telephones are provided in each residence hall room and house phones are located near the main lounge of each building. To dial room-to-room on campus, or to reach any campus office, please dial the last five digits of the appropriate phone number. Dial '8' to get an outside line. All local and long distance numbers require the area code. Denver metropolitan area is considered a local call. Calling cards are required for long distance calls.

Are vending machines, washers/dryers, and phones available in the residence halls?

Yes, all halls have vending machines, washers and dryers, and ice machines. The locations of these vary per building.

Must a rooming list be provided or can participants sign up for housing directly with the CU Conference Service's office?

Your group can provide a rooming list or participants can make their own reservations directly with our office.

What are the check-in/ check-out times for conference participants? Where is check-in/out?

Check-in time is 3:00pm on the day of your scheduled arrival. Earlier check-in times can be arranged based on availability. Check-out time is 11:00 AM unless a late check-out is arranged ahead of time for your group. Participants check-in at the front desk of their assigned residence hall or commons building.

What is the protocol for early arrivals or late departures for conference participants or staff?

For conference participants who would like to extend their stay at CU, early arrivals or late departures can be scheduled for one day before or after their official check-in and check-out date. Early arrivals and late departures for your conference staff can be arranged with your conference coordinator.

What are the hours of residence hall's front desk?

Our residence hall's offer 24-hour front desk service to handle regular and late check-ins. If a participant's arrival has been delayed, they can stop by the front desk of their assigned residence hall to receive their room keys. You will be given advance notice prior to the conference if other arrangements will need to be made.
